I was selected by the city of Glendale, California for the Beyond The Box program to paint a utility box.

The theme was ‘Celebrating Our Cultural Communities”. This piece celebrates the Filipino community in Glendale and pays homage to my Filipino roots. It depicts a woman in a Filipiana dress and a folk dance from the Philippines called the ‘Pandanggo,’ in which the dancers perform while balancing lights/candles.
